#40 and #50 have been found! They are out. #40 is just upstairs, TINY sign but upstairs, not near the landing point and #50 is by the sign. The person who reported to me that #50 was missing, said the sign was missing, so obviously they had an issue with things rezzing. ;)

Well, it would seem that some of the vendors got ahead of themselves. Instead of going by Second Life time (like they were told) they went by THEIR time... or who knows, all I know is that 3 eggs have been picked up. #40, #49 & #50 that I know of so far. A friend has been trying to go around and get them all, and she noticed these missing.

I am sorry. I don't know why they did it or if there are more. I know I got a message from one person just a few minutes ago asking if it was okay to pick up the egg, so I'm guessing that since another asked, some just assumed it was over. It's not officially over till after midnight tonight.

Sorry for any missed eggs. But other then that, HAPPY HUNTING!

#36 is broken!

There has been an issue lately with some of the hunters buying over 70 eggs. I had someone get that many just the other day. I don't know why, it is a non trans item, and it is a copiable item. But regardless as to why they are doing it, some of the vendors went out and bought a GIVE ONE COPY ONLY script. #36 NDC is such a shop.

And it would seem that now their egg is not working. Which is sad, because it's a great gift. However, I've notified the shop owner and hopefully it will be fixed by tomorrow. In the mean time, here is #37's location.

OOPS! 21 not 22

I corrected the post before, it had said 22 not 21. So got it fixed. But here is the run down.

Dirty Dollies left for petty reasons. They didn't like that they didn't get enough traffic, for one reason. So they just left.

They were #21.

The LM in egg #20 is wrong. You need to go to the NEW location: Market Town

Market Town will take you to the newly added #22: -30 Posters

From there... you know how to get around. :)

It would seem that #21 has issues with the hunters and traffic. So they have pulled out at the last possible minute. Anyone who gets to #20, the egg is right there in front as you land, but the LM won't do you any good as Dirty Dollies has taken their egg down.

BUT we have something even better then that! Market Town is putting up a very nice egg for anyone who'd like to get a #21 egg. They've put together the cutest thing! So come and get this new one! Don't miss out!

Starting Weds, EGGS LARGE!

Have you missed an egg cause it was too hard? Starting Weds, I've asked all owners to please put the eggs LARGE and in front of the sign so that everyone can go back and get what they missed.

The last two days should be easy for those that missed getting some or getting to the hunt at all.

Now there are some owners that aren't on till the weekends, and I'm sorry, I didn't think to send the note out till today, so there still may be a few that don't even get the message. However, this should make it easier for those that do move them.

Well not NEW. But I hadn't gotten the links on the side panel done up. Tracy kindly added the shops bios to the blog, but as busy (and sick on some days) as I've been I haven't had a chance to add the links to the side panel or the photos. But I'll be adding photos here shortly, sometime today or tomorrow.

In the mean time, you can always check the side panel for the shop listings. There are 25 new ones, and even though they were in the blog, having them added all at once you may have missed your favorite shop!

*POOF* The Wasp Nest is GONE! No word, nothing! Just GONE! I know that one of the shops is gone because they closed up, but this is just GONE. No message to me (at least not that I got) nothing to say why they are gone at the site. So... that being the case, there are now only 107 locations since they were 108!

If starting the hunt half way through, and you get to 107 and get the LM to 108, I've tried to contact 107 to put in a new LM. Just come here and use the SLURL for #1. ;)

MOVING?!

Several shops have moved while on this hunt. I have tried to keep up with them here, making sure that the LMs are changed and the SLURLs are changed. But sometimes they aren't told to me and I'm not always running around looking. So, if you get lost, there should be a LM giver somewhere at the old location.

Also, AmberMyst is moving! Yep! At the end of the hunt, we will be moving from the location we are at now to a new sim! Look for us in the next few hunts.

What does this mean? It means I won't have the time to do a Summer Hunt. It took a LOT out of me to run this hunt, and with just a little help, there is just NO WAY I can organize another one for a few months. And I know the Summer one would be in 2 months, but things just aren't going to work out that way. As much as I've gotten slaps on the back for a good job, I've gotten slaps in the face for failing in some way in someone's eyes. And moving my whole shop, re-crating everything with new landmarks in them, and all the work that goes into a move of this size, there is no way that I can do it.

Unless something happens where I get more help, the next hunt I organize won't be till Fall.

Well it would seem I spoke before I heard the latest news from a hunter. Seems that 106 has moved. They have a new shop. The problem is, their egg is the OLD egg for 107, not the NEW location. #88 is fixed! or ALL EGGS NOW WORKING AGAIN

Okay, looks like ALL the eggs are now working. Yeah! Seems that #88 was never really broken, but that there was a "fake" egg sticking out of the barrel. If you go there, and see that, ignore it. The real egg is around. I'm trying to reach the shop owner to remove the egg. As the rules state, NO FAKE EGGS. So let's hope this one disappears soon.

In the mean time, know that there is a working egg. So you can come back and pick up your gift.

New Element Added & News

I've added a "Blogs" link area on the side. It has different freebie blogs as well as some blogs that current store owners in the hunt have. There are a few more that I need to add, but the blogs URLs are in-world and I'm not able to get there just yet. But when I do, I'll update it and add them.

Also, April Jodra has been away for a few weeks, but will be back later today. When she is, she's going to go around and do the hunt and take photos along the way. Which she's going to post for us here. Should be interesting.

Hope all are enjoying the hunt this weekend and I hope things are working out good. I'll be on later as well to make sure things are working smoothly.

One last thing before I go... I went ahead and started a blog for the next hunt, Summer Fun. So keep track of that if you are interested in the next one. Since I don't really have a lot of time right now, it's just a totally basic layout. But will get all that fixed up later. :)

The Weekend Has Arrived!

The one thing that I liked about starting this hunt mid-week is that the rush to get through it first was a small one. We didn't have to worry about 200 people in one spot having a problem with a single egg. Now that MOST the eggs are fixed, and everything is MOSTLY working, I feel confident that the weekend will be a fun one. Not only for the designers but for the hunters.

Seeing as I haven't had the time yet to go through the hunt, but have had the opportunity to see a lot of the gifts listed on the Flickr page, and those given to me before hand, I know that there will be something for everyone on this hunt.

The gifts vary in style and kind and most have put their best effort into getting you a gift that says "This is who I am, and what I can do for you." I know that with every hunt there are some that don't like a gift they got. I have heard complaints and it saddens me. Not because I think that the designer didn't do good, but because I know they did and that that person just doesn't like that kind of thing but is giving negative feedback to people who might normally like it when that person didn't because tastes all vary.

So don't take someone else's word if you'd like a certain gift. Go on the hunt. Have fun. See for yourself what you like and don't like. And check out all these neat new designers!

When you TP in, turn to your left about half a turn, you will see a shop with surf boards. You want to head towards it and at the end of the pier there is a shop with the Spring Hunt's sign over it. That is what you need.

Are You Going To Do Another One?

I keep getting asked this. Or told "If you do another one, I'll be a part of it again."

With everything that has gone wrong, and everything that has gone right, I've had to think seriously about it. In the end, I decided that yes. With health and everything permitting, I will do more.

In fact, I'm going to keep doing them like I have. With a seasonal theme. The next one will be SUMMER. And will be titled: "Summer Fun - A Day At The Beach". To keep them within the seasons, at least the USA seasons, and keep them spread apart in the right order, they will be for a full month, every 3 months. The next one will be in the month of July.

Will there be a limit? I don't know yet. I'm still working the kinks out. But I will take offers to help, as I now know that you can't do something, even this small, by yourself. ;) So help can always be offered before hand.

Am I taking applications? Not at this time. Not till this hunt is over and I'm sure I'll do the summer one. But you can always make them and keep them handy, same info as last time.

Will I let bigger named stores in? I don't know yet. I kinda like having the smaller stores. To show off the talent of some of the lesser known shops. So we will see. Maybe a couple that will help bring in more hunters, but don't know, we will see.

So, if I'm not sure, why am I telling you this now? Because I know how it can be. I want to make sure that people know I plan one, and will know more by the end of April, then have it down the line and find out that since I hadn't said anything, someone else decided to do the same thing. I don't want the same problem I had with this hunt and the Bunny Hop and the issue of eggs happening again. So best to make intentions known now, the type, and that if done, we will use beach balls as the gift boxes, then to have another issue where hunters don't know which egg they are looking for.

And now... on to the corrections in the shops. I've been to some and will now post about them.

Hello! My name is Wanda Umarov and I'm going to tell you a little bit about my shop: "Wanda's".

I started at the end of 2007 in a very small vending spot in a club's mall. I had only one item by then: a shape. My idea was to create a shapes shop. I haven't made a single shape since..

Instead I got interested in creating handbags, this after a special occasion handbag I had made. It gave me a number of good reactions, which encouraged me to push on with this in a small store on Paradise Isles. By march 2008 I had moved my main store to a larger plot on Saint Trinian.

At present I have a relatively large store on Plush Giga sim, where I have about 80 items. Besides my handbags I have a small collection of earrings and accessoiries, boots, one building with pasties. I have a number of exciting projects on the shelf, some of which I hope to be able to finish soon.

A. : It's a creative outlet. I need to create to be happy, and my rl wasn't giving me a lot of opportunity. Also, I spent a good deal of my first months in sl shopping. I got to where I would think of what I wanted and then often couldn't find it. So... I decided to fulfill my need to create and make what I was looking for at the same time. I'm always working at improving my skills and the quality of my clothing. It's sometimes frustrating, but a lot of fun too.

A. : Just wearable, versatile clothing I guess. I don't have any preconceived ideas of what I will make. Once I see something that inspires me it just kind of makes itself in front of me. My line includes both realistic jewelry items and fantasy pieces. I also have a collection of Silks, Unscripted weapons, and other accessory items. Most items are Yes Modify/No Copy/Yes Transfer for easy gift giving and adjustment to your avatar. Secrets of Gaia is a labor of love for me and my whimsical and naturalistic style lead to the name often using flower and leaf shapes. I am not as new as some might think I have been around in SL almost 3 years now and building jewlery for most of that time. I am also Dean and lead instructor of SLCIF&D teaching the Master Jeweler Course originally created by my mentor and sometimes muse EmCee WIdget. After taking a bit over a year off after my former business partner and I split I returned to SL with a renewed sense of joy and creativity for building. I have been frantically building new items and taking great joy in the improvements that have come along in my absence. I take much of my inspiration from nature and build purely from the heart rather then from pictures of items. Sometimes the items come out as i originally had in mind… other times they don’t and still other times a happy accident along the way leads to a series of items that without the parting from my original idea might not have come about. I build 90% of my items ‘by hand’ with no tools to assist in line up and so forth and if you see me around the shop am often wearing one or more of my current projects around as I wear each piece for a few days tweaking it as I see things that need improvement to move better as my avatar moves about. When the shop is completed (I am still filling uot the courtyard) there will be 7 seas fishing, a relaxing garden to hang out in and much more. Secrets of Gaia comes from the Goddess Gaia who is “Mother Earth” the play on the idea that gemstones, metals, and other components of jewelry are truly gifts of the earth ‘the secret treasures’ I strive to build beautiful jewelry both for special occasions and for every day.

Many of my items are high prim sometimes marked with prim counts (If not marked I can tell you with a simple IM) and hand rotated and fitted while my lower prim items are less prim heavy I strive to keep them just as beautiful as if they were made of hundreds of prims. I also avoid scripting in much of my jewelry however when asked am happy to script a piece with bling, color change, texture change, and other options. I am always happy to make minor modifications such as gem or metal changes to any piece in the store. Larger modifications and custom pieces I accept only on an as time allows basis however if I don’t have time I am more then happy to reccomend someone who does and can do just as beautiful a job on that special piece of your dreams. Hi I'm Sharayah Munro, and together with my SL partner, Gadget Loon, we created "Prims 4 U". We opened our store on the Fairy Unique Sim, just before Christmas 2008, so we are relatively new.

We sell things that come under the Banners of "Gifts, Parties, Holidays and Education". Essentially we make items for most of the Holidays (Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter, July 4th, Halloween etc).

We have a range of gifts (which constantly change) including our very popular toy choo choo train (themed according to the time of year), Gadget's Lazyboy chair, our very popular collectable wearable teddy bears and even a fairy flower seat. A lot of our items are suitable for the home.

On the "Education" side our most popular items are our extremely well priced sets of alphabet and numerical textures (not easy to find in SL).

We bring in different stock regularly, sometimes daily!!! If there is something you want, or something you want in a different color, just send me an IM and if it's possible to do, we'll do it!!

Gadget and I make 99% of the items that you see in our store. We make every item to the best quality we can and pay attention to detail. We also have items that you may not see elsewhere - for example our specially textured Old Coke Ad on Metal (texture made for us by RxTopGun Clip of RxDesigns (he makes superb sculpties too!!).

My name is AeronAoife Grigges but I go by Aeron. My store is CatBird Studios which is an extension of my real life business where I create products for Bryce, DAZ Studio, and Poser, but also create jewelry and items for crochet and knitting. I also publish an online crochet magazine, Crochet Uncut - http://crochetuncut.com - in addition to designing crochet patterns, writing articles, and crocheting and knitting in my spare time. When not in SL or making craft items, I write user and admin guides for a financial software company in Provo, Utah, and user guides for DAZ3D.com for Bryce, DAZ Studio, Carrara, Hexagon, and Studio plug-ins.

Here in SL, I specialize in hair styles and while I only have seven at the moment, I'm working on several more styles. Each style contains resize and retexture scripts with either 262 or 114 textures, all based on real hair photos. Hair items with 262 textures go for just $L200 while those with 114 textures go for just $L75. I like to keep my prices low so that fairly new avies can afford great hair for very little cost. I also plan on adding skins and jewelry in the near future.

My main store is located in Camlann Tarl but I have shops in the Karamoon2 Skymall and on DAZ Island, where I'm the Estatem Manager. Hi, I´m Trixie Bumbo. Let me take a moment to introduce you to Primagine.

One day in the summer of 2007 I had some time to kill and was a bit bored, everyone was out doing vacation things and I was home alone (insert the Macauley Culkin imitation here). A friend was teaching a class on how to make belly rings and talked me into giving it a try. Despite the fact that I'd never so much as rezzed a prim I gave it a try and at the end of the hour was totally hooked on building. After taking a few more basic building classes I enrolled in an intensive jewelry making course and at the end of 18 weeks of blood, sweat and tears graduated with a Master Jewelers Diploma.

Trixie's Treasures was opened in November, 2007 on a small parcel on the Arginutti sim. I was still trying to find my niche, working hard to make jewelry that was versatile yet could be a staple of a girls wardrobe. March, 2008 saw Trixie's Treasures moving to the Big Apple sim, which I owned with my partner, Jahman Ochs. In October, 2008 I changed the shop name to Primagine, mainly because I felt I had grown as a buider/designer and wanted to reflect that in the shop name. I'm still creating mainly jewelry and collectibles, such as music boxes and limited edition Fabergé eggs. Due to the economy problems, we sold the Big Apple at the end of the year and as of January, 2009 Primagine is now back on the mainland, this time in Kilmarta.

So where will Primagine go from here? Jewelry is my first love and I'll definitely keep creating that. I'd like to branch out, possibly make some furniture or other collectible items that add that something special to your Second Life. My shop opened in august 2008. I started out making only lamps, and later i expanded, so now i am also selling outdoor furniture.

I find inspiration in European design. My creations are contemporary and modern with clean lines, and I work with just a few colors, in order to keep the clean look that im looking for. I combine various metals with leather, rattan, wood and fabrics.

In "LUXus" you will find stylish and elegant lamps and outdoor furniture. I have a some items for indoor, but my niche is outdoor furniture and accessories. My lamps and lights are for both indoor and outdoor use.

I make most textures myself, which means that i am able to make low prim furniture, because i use textures to show details, which normally would take up prims.

After exploring SL, and all its fantastic opportunities and locations for a while in the first half of 2007, I started a little building and trying to understand some secrets of LSL and creating textures. At the beginning I just built for my own needs.
Finally, I had finished several skyboxes and decided to see if others would like them too. So I bought my very first small parcel and started offering them to other residents.
I got lots of feedback that gave me ideas for newer and better products. So I went on, not only with skyboxes, but with prefabs and furniture too.
My partner, Shoya Fellini joined me with her designs for plants and rocks, and finally we had to move to a private region to have enough space to show all of the products inworld.
Today we can offer everything for parcels or whole regions: custom terraforming, raw-files, terrain textures, giant rocks, caves, trees, plants, prefab houses, skyboxes, furniture and more!

Hi, let me introduce myself, I am Huntress Catteneo, and I own a little group of connected shops here on Tiger Peak/Hill. As you can see from the picture below, this area is named for obvious reasons as here there be tigers 
Tzara is only too pleased to welcome visitors, and she can get a little pushy. For those that like to wander, you can visit her mate Khan down on the beach near the meditation cave, and you may even see him taking a swim towards the underwater garden.

Within the tower shop you will find a lucky chair, low/1 prim furniture, textures, large forest screens, and on the uppermost floor little rezzing platforms to see some models of my builds. A couple of these builds can be seen near the tower in there full size form to. I love doing unique tailored builds on awkward plots of land, so if you need something please keep me in mind. I generally work as low prim as I can and use little or no alpha textures (to prevent that horrible inside outside problem you see in some places).

For those looking to decorate their homes a little more you can move down the road to the galleries, but be careful not to wake any sleeping tigers along the way (it can make them a little grumpy). You will be able to tell which stores are my galleries, as they are connected by a rainbow which you can even walk across.

The multi-tiered gallery is a converted home, and you can even purchase this particular building with it’s unique water feature and cozy fireplace. Most of the pictures here are my own photographs that I have taken in real life.

In the second gallery there are a few of my cushions and lamps/chandeliers, along with artworks from many sources. But be warned, the upper most level of both galleries contains the ‘naughty stuff’, so if you are not keen on such things stick to the lower areas.

There are some lovely things to see all around this little part of the world, so please take a little time to enjoy. 

Warmest Greetings and welcome to *~*HopScotch*~*. My name is Chandni and I own this place. It all started almost 2 years ago with the need for a costume and lack of money. So I created with hours of work my first dress. In contrast to today it looked ugly as hell but it was mine *grins*

Better than clothing i was able to do artwork. Since i work with Poser and Photoshop a lot i express my emotions, thoughts and ideas this way regularly for about 7 years now. And when i saw that my dress was so strange i started my first shop with my artwork in a 15prim booth in a clubmall.

That i kept a while until i learned properly how to do clothes and work with prims and i grew. The growing went on and what you see now is the work of 2 years of learning and creativity that spooks in my mind. I cannot say that i have a special style i just do what comes into my mind and what i am able to do. And if i am not able i put it on a list to learn for later *grins*

The Eggs Are Out! Whoo hoo!

Yeppers! I've handed out all the eggs. Current count, 102. There still may be a couple, but right now, it's set at 102. There are a few that are MIA, and have this weekend to get back to me. So will see.

In the mean time, Designers, if you are reading this and do NOT have your egg, you better contact me. :)

There will be a dry run in the next few days. So Hunters, if you see an egg out, clicking it won't give you anything. The designers are putting them out only for me to run through and check them all, with the help of a few friends. We will be clicking and checking LMs to make sure they work, that things are set to sell CONTENTS so no problems with inability to open eggs, and checking that the shops are ready with the right posters.

PLUS, there is a new outfit for Hunters! I'll post it next, need to take a few photos.

Well now that that busy weekend is over, family visit went okay but ended up painful as the drive just about killed me and the hard chair I had to sit on while there also about killed me. I've a vet appointment in the morning then in the afternoon I'll be working on getting the list complete!

That is right, sometime tonight/tomorrow the list will be complete and the shops will be locked in as to whom will have what number and which stores are still in.

I'll also know by then who is going to stay in and who will be pulling out. Those without the posters up, who can't comply with the rules, will be dropped and the on hold applications looked into.

The vote is in! - New Rules

Okay folks! The vote is in! It would seem that the majority of you would like to make this hunt one where we move the eggs around from time to time, if we have the room, so as to keep the traffic up.

However, some of you do not have the room to do this.

That being the case, it has been decided to leave it up to the store owner. Should you want to keep the egg in one spot, with hints still available, that will be allowed. But I will need to know if you want the hints within the next few days as I need to make sure I have a list of those that are going to do this and those that will be moving their eggs.

The eggs will be moved on a daily, weekly, bi-weekly basis, depending once again on how often the vendor can get in to move the egg.

With this change comes new rules.

Here are the rules, some amended from before and some new.

1. If you have been chosen for this hunt, you must make one special item for the hunt, and ONLY for this hunt. It is not to be something you've given out before, sold before, or are using in another hunt. I ask that you please think hard about this one, as this item should be a nice quality item since the goal of this Hunt will be to showcase just what you can do and give the Hunters reason to come back to your small business. So you will need a quality item that is 'non holiday', i.e. a skirt and top with Happy Easter across it may not get worn at all depending on when they get to your shop, but a pink & green skirt set, though in seasonal colors, would as it is not specifically for Easter. It is advisable that you have something that is unisex, or include something for the men as well as the women. If all you do is women's clothes, then why not try something as simple as a pair of pants and a t-shirt for the men. Or if you do woman's jewelry, try a pair of cuff links or tie tack for his favorite outfit. You do not have to package them together, you can have one egg for the men and one for the women. But it is advisable to make sure that you do something special for the men. They will be more apt to return to your store (with their female companion) to pick her something nice out even if you do not have a men's clothing line, simply because you thought of them during this Hunt. You do not HAVE to, but I can tell you now that most are and that we are being known now as the hunt that is catering to men and are getting a lot of men drooling over this hunt. So, though this last part is not a 'rule' it is a strong suggestion that you don't forget the men.
2. Hidden eggs, those not moved or those moved, can NOT be made smaller. I am not saying you can not make them bigger, because there are some shops that would like the option to make the eggs easy for the customer to find since they have large sims/shops. So I am going to leave that up to the discretion of the shop owner. But they can NOT be made smaller and harder to find.
3. The egg can not be put: under floors, inside walls, inside boxes, anywhere where it makes it very difficult to find unless you have super camming skills. I have heard a lot of complaints lately on a few of the hunts of shop owners that put their boxes somewhere that is near impossible for the hunter to find. Hunters get mad and swear to never come back. This hunt is to show off that your small business is just as good as the big name brand businesses and if you piss off your customers before they can even be a customer, they won't come back.
4.The egg can not take more then 15 minutes to find. I know that some have big sims, so in that case, keep it close to the landing point, not clear across the sim up a tree that takes the hunter a hour to fly around the sim to find. If you plan on putting it at the opposite end of the sim, then you need to leave a hint that says what section of the sim you are going to put it in so that it doesn't take more then 15 minutes to find.
5. NO MORE THEN ONE EGG IS ALLOWED HIDDEN ON THE PROPERTY (unless it's two gender related eggs)! This rule is NOT to be broken. You will be given simple instructions on how to make sure your egg gives it's CONTENTS so that no one needs to rez an egg on your property to get at next clue. There are to be NO false or misleading eggs ANYWHERE on the property. This is cheating and will get you kicked out of the Hunt. The eggs will be special so that if you have eggs out to decorate, people will be able to tell the difference. If you have two eggs, one for male and one for female, this is allowed. But this is the ONLY time it is allowed. If you want to give two gifts, put them both in the same egg (unless it's a gender issue). The reason is so that there are no FALSE eggs tricking people into thinking they found it when they didn't. There are newbies out there hunting, finding a false egg and thinking they found it. I know that some love to put out a million false items, and have the people guessing which one it is today, but this only upsets the hunters (at least all the ones I've talked to) and makes them NOT want to return to your store. They much rather be looking for one egg then have to run around clicking on false eggs, trying to remember which one they clicked on already. If you have questions regarding this rule, just contact me.
6. You must have the hunt sign in your shop during the whole hunt. Why am I stating this as a rule, something you'd think anyone might know? Because it seems some do not. They still don't have the sign up and if it is not up the day before the hunt, their shop will be skipped. People need to know that you are the shop they are looking for. If you are having a problem with this, contact me, I will be more then happy to help you put the sign up.
7. Use your common sense. Make this fun for all. I've listed the major rules, the rest have to do with common sense. All you have to remember is that this is to promote your business. Traffic is good, it increases your standing in the search engine, but don't try to get traffic by hiding an egg so hard to find (without even including hints) that it takes so long to find it that the hunter is now cussing your business and never wanting to return. It doesn't matter how good a gift or how long you worked on it, if they are so pissed off at you that they never return.

The hunt has been changed to a month to allow for the hunters to get a chance at it. I've got about 20 applications that I put in a 'waiting list', and I may still allow them in in a spot over 100, so those of you that are already in the hunt, no worries. This is still not a big number, 120-125 is low compared to some of the hunts going on right now. In fact we are still half the size of them. So no worries.

Most of all... HAVE FUN! This hunt has changed a lot since I first started it back in the middle of January. It's gone from a hint hunt (I now know that to do that will have to be a much smaller hunt) to one that is almost a free for all. Things have changed because I'm doing this for you, the business owner. To let Second Life residents know that there are good small companies in Second Life that they can find with just a little more looking.

One more note before I close this. Some of you have freebies that you give out normally. During the hunt it would be a good idea that if you have any freebies, put them near your landing point and make it clear what they are. Yes, that means giving away more things, but you would normally anyway if they found them. The point of it is that when they get to unpacking they will be able to see not only the great gift you gave them, but also the gifts you normally give customers and the quality of your items and they will return. A LOT of my business lately has been people that stop while on the hunt or return after the hunt because of what they saw in my shop or what they got while hunting. Or how NICE I was while there. It is very important that you treat the hunters nicely. I know that you will run into some really rotten people during the hunt, hunters that are greedy and all they want is what you can give them for free, but that is just a small part of it. There are a LOT of nice people out there that will be in your shop and how you treat them will depend on if they return. A little bit of sugar goes a long way. That is not to say if you have a really nasty one you should put up with it. Just deal with it in a diplomatic way and the other customers in your shop will see that you aren't a witch even when someone is wrongly attacking you. Peace out!

A. : At first I used other's textures. I buy my sculpted prims because I have no skill in 3D modeling. I do everything else myself, I even do my chains by hand... I only used a chain-builder once because it was given to me and this item is the Diamonds & gold necklace I sell for 1L, it would hurt my pride to sell something built using a script.

A. : That's hard to say yet, I have very few items... But I'd like to do more finger rings and full-armor rings like the Slave-Ring I built, I have good feedback on this item. That's actually what I will do for the hunt

Originally I, Alexia Cournoyer, ran an art gallery called La Vie. I soon found out that not only was I creating art but I was also branching out into other areas.

A. : My name is Asoniel Komachi, and my store is simply named AKC (Asoniel Komachi Creations).

A. : I've been making clothes for about 2 years now. However, have been selling them on XStreetSL.com only for just over a year. And, even more recently brought the store into world for customer convenience.

A. : I sell mainly men's clothing since I love to make clothes that I would wear. But, there are a lot of my products that can be considered unisex. I don't often concentrate on full outfits, as I like to be able to mix and match my clothes. There are shirts, pants, underwear, PJs, swimsuits, and more! I also have made some unique rave gear for furries and friends.

A. : All of the outfits, clothes, accessories and designs are all made by me. I have a friend though, who is a great creator of casual shoes that I'm working with at the moment on a couple projects for the future.

I also have plans to make a line of casual beach wear (Canvas and Linen shirts, Casual Capri pants, and few more designs of board shorts). I always listen to suggestions from my customers if they have something they would like to see in the store. I try and accommodate them the best I can. :)

Jimbo Qinan and Selena Toland, ahem, (Mr. and Mrs. Qinan) have been building and texturing their own homes for a year and a half now, we've created small things we wanted to have on our porches or in and around our homes and finally decided to open up a shop to share them with others in Second Life. I'm going to attach a picture of a couple of our current homes to give you an idea of what we can do. We have had the shop for just one week and are finding it so much fun to do, but we don't know how to get the word out, so when Liz said that there was going to be an Easter Egg Hunt, I was so excited and to be selected is just wonderful!!!

Selbo Designs offers a varied selection of items from fireplaces, doormats, double-changing picture frames, homes, bridges, gazebo, working windmill, a sweet little dutch cottage with a windmill on it, a set of wagon wheel furniture we had on a ranch we lived in. Our homes include a log cabin, a ranch, and Adobe, an Italian Villa, a Tudor Cottage, Country Cottage, etc. All things we dream of owning and having, and we do, right here in SL!!!! There's never an end to the things we make. We sell things on SLX as well as in our new little shop, which we are only just learning about, so it will most likely change over time.

Like so many before us, our friends have said, you should sell your things, they're very good, and I must admit, they are, though most need to be seen to appreciate. A. : I can't really remember when I opened a shop - I have been in my current location since June, 2007. I have had things for sale here -n- there since I started building back in March, 2007.

     A. : My things include jewelry, poofers, some basic clothing (although that will change - just not very soon), shoes, and I have class tutorials available since I'm also a teacher (formerly at TUi, now at ICE).

     Additionally, I am an authorized representative for Awesome Designs by Julia Soothsayer. Her clothing is, well, simply awesome :) Plus, since I teach so I don't have alot of time to make oodles of things for my shop - but that will change as time goes along. My current priorities are the shop (along with customer service), completing my education, and teaching.

     My best-selling low cost item is a set of 3 different colored metals of Sexy Walk Anklets at $5L - they aren't fancy, but they work well when an AO is a problem since they only cover the walking part. Dancers in SL love them, because they don't have to worry about "AO on/AO off" when leaving/entering the stage. I use mine when my ARC is high and I need to get it down. My other low cost item is a royal blue velor prim skirt set at $10L. Again, it's cute, but it's hardly haute couture. It used to be that new residents couldn't get a decent prim skirt set at $10L unless they lucked into a freebie. I will leave it out though, until I design some really cool clothes.

A. : Other than the Awesome Designs items (and other re-sell items on the far wall), everything in my shop is mine.

A. : Oh, wow - I really don't know. The best description right now is --- eclectic or hodge-podge.

I have been open aprrox 6 months, but have kept to myself as I have been trying to build a collection of toys and clothing to appeal not only to Barbie Doll and Doll lovers, but also to appeal to the kinks surrounding doll play.

A. : I used to earn my living in SL as a DJ, and would earn a respectable amount playing at various clubs, but because of RL moves my connection wasn't always so constant and I got fed up of my stream buffering constantly. So I started looking around for another way to earn some pocket money and a friend of mine, Elle74 Zaftig of Bellissima started encouraging me to build. I had also had trouble finding items I wanted for an affordable price as good male items are still rare in SL so I started off with making items for myself. My first store was in the mall of the last club I had a DJ job at, 'Misfits'.

A. : Dark Victorian with a steam/fetish punk twist

A. : In the short term expect more attachments, I am expanding my range of antique jewelry (Yes, I make items for the Ladies too now) as for the long term expect More stylish kink, gore and more bizarre items, like my 'Transformations' range of prosthetic limbs. NEWS: When it rains, it pours!

Well folks, I have been trying and trying to get this blog finished before the hunt. In that I mean get all the gifts that were given me listed, and the bios that were given to me listed. But the last week my internet has been very iffy. Sometimes I'm online, sometimes I'm off for hours. The worst part is when I have no internet connection when I can be online and when I can't be online, it may be working then. So that has made it hard. And yes, I'll be complaining, AGAIN, to my internet provider about it.

Then today just as I was getting some work done, or going to, when suddenly the monitor went black! Nothing there! I was shocked! What was I to do? I tried everything, and I mean everything. I lost some information by just shutting the computer down and rebooting... and I won't give you all the details, but after several calls to Gateway and several WRONG diagnosis's from them, I finally found out, I did, not them, they kept saying it was a hard drive problem, that it was the MONITOR that was dead. Even though the logo was there on start up, for Gateway, I couldn't get the Windows opening screen. Seems my monitor is dead! I found a very old one in my mom's room, it was my old one from 9 years ago, and hooked it up and I have a monitor, so for now I have the net.

So now I'm online with them trying to get a new Service Request number since the monitor should still be under warranty, so I was told at least on the 2nd call I made. It'll take a few weeks to get it straightened out, so till then I'll be using this huge boat anchor. I won't be able to be on it much because it's a bit blurry so too long on it will give me a headache. Thus, my time online is now cut back more.

And with all these excuses come the reason for this message... I'm trying to get things done, regardless of anything getting in the way. But as it is, because of them, it will take me a bit more time to get some of the things done that I was working on. I'll be working later tonight on getting more bios uploaded, especially the photos of the gifts I've been given, and I'll be setting up the numbers for the shops and such as quickly as I can.

We have our extended time set, the full month of April, but right now are sticking to the 100 shops. I have been asked to please allow the final few that applied in, but that is still up in the air, and will be decided later this week. Because the news is that we may not be a "hint" hunt after all. There are a lot of shop owners worried about the fact that hunters are using blogs and cheat scripts and cheat sheets to find the location of the boxes without even taking two minutes to let the place rez. This is supposed to be a fun thing, to allow people to see new places and find new things. So, there is a vote currently for moving the eggs. If this goes through, then we will be allowing shop owners to move the eggs as they please, daily or weekly, but so that the blogs and HUDSs and the sort won't work.

Also, one last thing. If you are blogger or a hunter that makes or uses cheat scripts that seek out the numbered eggs, I'll let you know right now that each egg will have a unique name or number so that using scanners and HUDs and the sort won't work.

All eggs will be hidden in a way that it will take no more then 5-15 minutes to find them. I only say 15 because some people have a harder time at finding things, but our goal will be to have it so that people have to look, but don't have to spend an hour. It will be up to the shop owner, so there may be some shops that opt to put their eggs out in the open. That is up to them.

The one thing I've always said about this hunt is that it is for the business owners to let them show the community what they are capable of. And since it is for them to be able to show their goods and what they can do, it is also up to them to the extent they will hide the eggs. However, they will not be allowed to put out more then one egg and they will not be allowed to hide the egg so hard that you can't find it within a decent amount of time.

There is a group that hunters can join that will have someone monitoring it to help out anyone that is stuck should they get tired of looking at one place and just want to skip to the next one, that will be allowed and this person will have all the LM to get around. "Spring Is In The Air EasterEgg Hunt" is the group name.

FINALLY got the new repair number and a new address, thank goodness they told me that, the other place doesn't do monitors, so I have to get going. Got some photos to take of trees and plants around here while the light is good. ;) Need new stock for the hunts! Hope you all enjoy this hunt and check back to this blog often for more updates!

While you're here, sneak a peek at my antiques in the back room of the Slow Rezz. I offer a variety of beautiful and unique Japanese screens, period furniture and unusual knick-knacks to decorate your home. Many of you have also seen my collectible line of cuddly teddy bears. For the winter holidays, I created the cutest Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa bears. For Valentine's Day, I made a darling fabric-covered bear holding a rosebud and box of chocolates. I also build custom novelties. I sell a kitchen that is scripted and cleverly animated so that you can cook in a different kitchen everyday of the year if you like! You choose the color of the kitchen, the color/style of counter tops and colors of the appliances! The food really cooks on the stove, animated flames and much more! Well, my name is Carol121 Caproni and my shop is called evidently "The Caproni Style" lololol.

It's not very original but I had only a few hours to come up with something. I had already been trying to make clothes and happened on the first shop which seemed ideal last August, so I had to do it all in a hurry lolololol. I have stayed with the owners through a move to a new sim and now a changeover of owner.

By the way the shops are real good value here at Wild Hollow Mall, 50 prims for 100$ a week. This has just been changed these last few days so there are plenty of shops for grabs. - and carts are at 50$ a week for 25 prims.

I create mostly woman's clothes but wish to do some men's clothes too as I learn more. I love the creation part and I also wanted to learn Photoshop so it's an ideal combination. It's a long process to learn to make good quality clothes but I will get there. I still have loads to learn yet though. I couldn't put a name to my style of clothes but some have called them sassy, sexy. I would say Caproni Style hehehehehehhehehehe. I would like to develop my own particular style.

A. : My name is RaffiGirl Koffenbaum, and my shop is RGK Custom Photo Services.

A. : Around 3 months now

3. Q. : What kind of things do you sell in your shop?

A. : Anything that helps give people ways to use all the photos and textures they have in their inventory -- So, frames, picture projectors, jewelry and accessories with locket features to them. I also do novelty items -- for example, for Valentine's I made what I called "stalker glasses" as freebies. They were heart-shaped glasses that emitted images of loved ones that the customer loaded themselves into a note card.
I also do custom jewelry work, profile pics, portraits and wedding photography.

4. Q. : Do you make everything you sell or do you have a partner you create with?

A. : I do the photography and actual building of products on my own, but my very good friend Tangodog Tomsen helps me a lot with scripts that you can't find ... one so far hehehe, but I always toss my scripting questions and issues his way. I couldn't do what I do without him.

5. Q. : If you could be known for just one thing, what would that one thing be?

A. : For creating unique items that give people fun, attractive ways to display their pictures, and also for creative, beautiful photos.

6. Q. : Why did you start/open your business/shop?

A. : I actually started my business because I love taking pics in SL. Sometimes I'll take them to PhotoShop to fiddle with, but I prefer trying to set all the setting here in-world. For profile pics and other photography, though, I'll take them to photoshop to do a little something with, and bring them back in-world. I love finding beautiful places in SL and taking pictures of them, and I also love taking pictures of avatars (usually my friends, but I love having any excuse to take pictures!) and showing their best features, their special events etc.
I would snap a few pics at friends' events and send them out as framed gifts etc., and my friends would tell me I should sell my work and have a business. So, I thought, why not? I was finding it hard to find business doing just photography though, so I wondered if things wouldn't go a bit better if I could tie it together with products that use photos that people take ... so, I made myself learn how to build (still learning!) and voilà! I'm having a lot of fun making things, building, and learning as a go along.

A. : Photo Display Solutions and Custom Work. I know that's not one label, but it's the only way I could summarize it hehehehe.

Liz's Independent Marketplace - Store Bio

I started creating when I wanted to furnish my home. The first thing I created was a table. I look at it now and laugh, unable to believe how basic an item it is. I am fussy about how things look and I like my furniture to look as real as I can get it. Often I make something only to throw it away because it doesn't meet my high standards.
My Second Life dream was to be able to own my own store and to sell the things that I made in it. I've accomplished that dream and more. I've gone from a small plot with a small store to now owning half a sim with a mall on it. I offer small shops to original creators at low prices, so as to help others accomplish their dream as well.

Wanting to improve my items even more, I've now started to make my own textures for several of them. I have even been learning a little bit of scripting. Though I am not good enough yet to script something from scratch, I am still growing in all I do.

My next challenge I'm working on is sculpties. Though my first attempts so far have reminded me of that basic table I once made, I know that like the other subjects I've been learning, this is one that will grow with practice and one day be up to my standards to include in my store's inventory.

Lowenstark Design - Store Bio

Lowenstark Design as it is today is the brainchild of a building competition. The theme was steampunk, and while time and prims made something like I sell now impossible, the wheel was set in motion for the creation of the original Steampunk Spider.

As things do ( a lot ) what works for one can be applied to many. I created a workf low that allowed me to smoothly create a line of themed avi's, all with a look unique to myself but homogeneous with each other. With 13 avatars produced in a four week time period, I'm taking the time now to go back and release a version two, entrenching myself away from what is perhaps my more natural style, and developing something more reflective of the genre.

The Steampunk Shark is my latest stab at working with animations, and the LOD proof gear I now , which has enabled even lower lag and higher complexity of avatars then ever before, is the result of a somewhat painful learning curve with sculpt studio. I'm striving as hard as I can to improve on what abilities I have, and my group is very helpful for suggestions and feedback.
