Oh boy! Seems that no matter what you do, something will break.
I had several people trying to help me make sure that all the links worked. That nothing would be broken or missing. But we couldn't get ahold of everyone in time. So, things aren't completely there.
#3: Cammi's Creations - People have had a hard time with this one and we do apologize. You are looking for a LM in the box and it's a note card. You need to open the note card to find the shop. When you TP in, turn to your left about half a turn, you will see a shop with surf boards. You want to head towards it and at the end of the pier there is a shop with the Spring Hunt's sign over it. That is what you need.
#8: Yellow Jester - Another one that isn't easy to find. Read his hint. Yes, the egg is REALLY in the house. Promise.
#16: KatKreation - COPY given by accident, not CONTENTS. You need to WEAR it on your hand to pull out LM. Or find a sandbox to unpack. However, to get to #17, just look to the next one to the right LM. ;)
#17: The Caproni Store: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Satarin/213/202/101 The LM in #16 is wrong. Use this one.
#18: Holiday Bliss is in it's egg form, so use this link to get to HopScotch, or find a sandbox to unpack.
#21: Dirty Dolls - I've gotten complaints that the store is hard to find. Try this: First, when you TP in, you will be facing the wrong way. Turn around and look behind you. Walk forward, following arrows outside. You will come to a wall. Go AROUND the wall. On the opposite side, on the opposite side of the wall, is a PINK area. That is Dirty Dollies. HERE
#30: FD Decor :The egg is out and there. It was there before, but the 'test run' egg had been left out by accident. Anyone missing this one before, should go back for the gift. It's there now!
#49: Sugarholic- egg empty, but LM inside. Come back later.

ReplyDeleteIt is a shame that so many vendors can't get their eggs straight in time.
ReplyDeleteVendors at the end of the line are drawing the short straw.
If there are too many interruptions in the line I really think the hunters just give up somewhere in the middle of it
and move on to the next hunt. There are plenty of them happening right now.
We are the last but one in line and hardly got any visitors yet. Not every hunter actually is in all the hunt groups
or reads the blog about the latest screw ups.
Is #47 not set for sale, or has someone dropped a second egg?
ReplyDeleteLet me start out by saying that since this hunt has no big names, it's sole advertising was people on the other hunts and my event listings. No big stores in it, no big crowds pulled in because of it. They may not be coming in huge groups, but they are coming.
ReplyDeleteI believe because of how we are, we will get a steady flow through the whole month were as some of the other hunts get a bunch at first, then they dwindle to nothing.
Starting in the middle of the week, the crowd wasn't as big. This weekend will see a new rush of people as they first get on for the weekend play and see the hunt has started. So expect more.
What it boils down to is this. This hunt is specialized. It has no big names. People don't always think. They see no big name and figure it's not anything worth their time. That is the one draw back of not allowing big names into it. That and that the big names get more traffic so more people see the signs before the hunt. The plus is that you know those that come will come back, for the most part, and aren't just there to get the freebies, for the most part. They are honestly looking to see what else is out there and want to know. These are the people you want in your store more then the 200 coming all at once just for a freebie.
Now, if you are worried that you are in the tail end and didn't see many on opening night, don't worry so much. You probably saw as many as I did, or saw them later as they made it to you. Because not that many started out in my shop. I think I had about 20 at any one time, or less. And some were for the Bunny Hop egg.
Just remember, you have all month to get them in. Throw events, tell them about the hunt, let them know you are in it. Tell your update groups. Put an ad in the forums, or in slx. There are all kinds of ways to make sure people know you are in the hunt and get the word out. It's all month, so there is plenty of time. Ones that start in your store will go on to the next and next as they see the great things you had to offer.
Just remember, there are a lot that love this hunt and you will see your traffic rise a little from it. But the important thing is that you are taking baby steps to get to a place where you ARE the big name. And remember, the amount of traffic that comes through it's always the issue, but what kind. If they are of the kind to get a freebie and run, or the kind that really want to see what's going on besides big names. Those are the ones you want. Those are the majority that are on this hunt running through it. And a lot will return to your shop too. :) Keep your chin up, the hunt lasts all month. And you still have opening weekend to look forward to and now the eggs all work. So there won't be any glitches. :)
As for the #47 egg, just went by there, only saw the one. And it was working. So check again. Only the speckled eggs are from the Spring hunt.
